TITLE: Driver / Perforating Sales Delivery
REPORTS TO: Vice President

Position Summary:

Drives gasoline or diesel-powered trucks to deliver or pick up materials to or from customers and other various places as directed. Drivers also help in shop as needed during down time. This position requires attentive customer service skills and sales experience in a very competitive environment. The employee is responsible for quoting, ordering, calling on customers, picking up product and managing projects. This position is considered “Outside of the Shop/Office” and does require travel and delivery of materials. This position is required to follow all ATF and DOT regulations pertaining to Explosives and must work under the supervision of the Responsible Person for the location”

Job Description/Expectations:

• Accurately completes and submits all necessary paperwork, such as daily logs, inspection reports, receiving and delivery documents, expense reports, etc. as specifically stated in FHE’s Drivers Handbook.
• Deliver and pick up items, with documentation, ensuring accurate capture of what the item/document is, who requested the transport of the item, who received the item, and obtain proper signatures.
• Keep assigned vehicles free from damage, in good condition, and consistently clean. Employee must ensure that the vehicle is in proper and safe condition prior to use and accept responsibility to report any damage or mechanical malfunctions that exist.
• Manage various products and merchandise responsibly while in the act of loading, unloading, or transporting items, ensuring that cargo is properly secured to avoid damage or loss. (FHE policy: everything gets two straps)
• Employee must accept responsibility for proper use and maintenance of keys, cellphone, GPS, and other company owned electronic devices. And FHE property must be checked in and out.
• May work overtime hours as needed, according to department workload.
• Maintain an excellent driving record. Class A CDL and Medical Card required. Job securement is at the employer’s discretion due to nature of and the amount of violations.
• Be willing to take over the road assignments as needed and able to do so in a responsible, timely manner per company policies.
• Operate vehicles and equipment safely and in a responsible manner.
• Respect and maintain relationship of trust required to maintain a high level of security access to offices and property of company personnel without supervision.
• Be willing and able to perform tasks without direct supervision that may require physical labor, and possibly the use of hand tools. This work may need to be performed both indoors and outdoors in inclement weather.
• Dress in a fashion that enables employee to complete the daily tasks, while maintaining a professional and appropriate appearance.
• Must attend work as established by employer without excessive absenteeism
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner that represents a positive image of FHE
• Provide shop support during non-driving working hours
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.

Education/Experience:
Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge / Skills / Expertise:

• Read, write and communicate clearly in English

• Good driving record, current Medical Card and Class A driver’s license.

Environmental Conditions and Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will occasionally be in the office.
• Travel to Customer’s sites by vehicle will be a standard operation.
• There may be exposure to certain contaminants, at times.
• This position may work in and out of a warehouse setting, with outdoor exposure during the workday.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate although noise levels in the shop or at the location of customers may be higher.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk as well as drive a vehicle.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
